Wilson is once again putting up amazing numbers this season. 1.305 yards for 12 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. The 34-year-old is continuously being let down by the Broncos’ structure and the lack of urgency by his teammates. However, the QB still keeps shielding them.

“Guys up front I thought did a really good job being physical. It’s a really defense, really good defensive front too. And linebackers do a good job. I thought our guys did a really good job battling with those guys (Chiefs) play after play,” Wilson said at the post-game press conference.

Wilson believes that the Broncos can make a turnaround. If Russell Wilson and team, have any hopes of making to playoffs, that turnaround must begin with their next game. Fortunately, the next one is at home.

The Green Bay Packers are scheduled to visit the Broncos for a cross-divisional game next week. The Packers themselves are not having the best of the seasons. With Aaron Rodgers departing for the Jets, 24-year-old Jordan Love has been thrust into the starter position. The Packers are currently 2nd in the NFC North with a 2-3 record.

If Wilson wants to relive the glory of Super Bowl victory as he did in 2014, the Broncos’ fortunes will need to be changed dramatically. And Wilson has to take up the leadership role in that and not let the sub-par performances of his teammates be neglected anymore.
