This comes shortly after British aristocrat Lady Victoria Hervey suggested that Beckham should receive the honor of knighthood from the Royal family of England. Sir Alex Ferguson, who is one of the most decorated managers in the history of soccer, signed a young David Beckham as a youth academy product at Manchester United during Beckham’s early years as a teenager.

Thanking Sir Alex for everything he did for him, Becks posted on Instagram a picture and video clip hailing the now-retired Manchester United boss calling him “one of the most important people in my life” and dubbing him a “father figure”.
