The now-veteran of the EDM festival circuit took over the world’s biggest mosh pit for the fourth time. Just when we thought nothing could top his 2022 set, the NBA legend amplified his performance this year. Lost Lands attendees are still reeling from the 7’1″ giant’s set as it’s obvious from the reactions online.

The Lost Lands music festival came back this year better than ever. Leading a head-banging lineup of bass’s biggest stars was someone who has experience taking charge of the basketball court. Shaquille O’Neal dominated the prehistoric-themed festival the way he dominated his rivals in the NBA. Fans had a lot to vent after Shaq’s set and the Lost Lands Instagram page was the place to be.

Shaq has new friends within the bass genre. Dubstep extraordinaire, Level Up joined him on the mainstage to do an encore of of their 2022 Hard Summer collab. The big man was under the Lost Lands post giving his collaborator a nod. “Shout out @levelupdub for join me on stage for our collab!” he wrote.

Chicago-based EDM performer, DJ Audaz was in the comments saying, “Rippin me to shreds per usual,” after witnessing DJ Diesel in action. After his surprise appearance in 2018, Shaq returned to Lost Lands in 2021. This is his fourth turn and he’s become a veteran at amping sold-out crowds over the years.

Lost Lands is hosted in Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. Appropriately named for the Los Angeles Lakers legend in its lineup. Dubbed the biggest mosh pit in the world, Shaq entertained a crowd of at least 80,000 attendees. “Hes got bigger crowds now than he ever did in his nba career seen twice in two different states Az and Michigan,”  an Instagram user pointed out.

This year Lost Lands included the likes of SVDDEN DEATH, Ray Volpe, Rezzz, Illenium, and more. However, these guys can’t claim they’ve won four NBA championships or shoot like DJ Diesel.

Shaq is fresh off the Lollapalooza hype and entertained the Golden State Warriors fans at Outside Lands. He even launched his own mega-successful festival, Bass All-Stars in Texas ahead of Lost Lands. Yet the Ohio crowd overwhelmed him. He was immediately on X asking fans, “What tf was that” before following it up with a “Love y’all“.

Some are expressing that post-concert depression with comments like, “Still lost in that Tornado.” Others were throwing out requests for more festival appearances like, “come to hulaween.”

Skrillex and Steve Aoki’s frequent collaborator, Valentino Khan summarized the Shaq phenomenon with a single comment, “Legendary,” and a fire emoji. Clearly the world hasn’t had enough of DJ Diesel.
