What would you do if you got reincarnated in your favorite fantasy world?

A 39 year old man comes back from his job preparing for the culmination of his life's work to finally take flight, unfortunately he would never live to see the day as when he enters his house he dies to the ultimate killer. An empty water bottle. Of course the most honorable way to die.
After he dies he meets face to face with a giant glowing humanoid telling him he has been chosen to become a main character. What does that mean?
Waking up soon after to find out he can no longer see or hear anything wonders what he has himself into now. Moving around he runs into something squishy.

Authors Note- This story takes place in a much larger series of interconnected fanfics and original stories so in the beginning the god shown and the other god that's mentioned aren't explained. They will be explained if I upload more stories from this series though.
